LOVE BUZZ 029: ARI KYTSYA

This morning we have the gift of a true star, the queen of bops herself—Ari Kytsya.

First off—this interview is an extension of a Dirty Magazine cover story in their most recent issue, and you can find a more extensive and classic interview I did with Ari there. Here, I’m giving the extended play of our Love Buzz questions.

You may recognize the self-described “mattress actress” from her near-constant viral TikToks, her ASMR-y low monotone makeup tutorials, or her appearances with boyfriend Yung Gravy. She’s also the CMO of Hidden, the brand-spanking new sex-worker run adult content platform that you by now must be sick of hearing me talk about all damn (here) month (and here) She is kind of a big deal.

Ari is an anomaly in the sex industry, as someone who has seamlessly crossed-over as a mainstream influencer—with campaigns for Urban Decay, and other brand endorsements—without having to kiss her mattress-acting days goodbye or even, as is more often the case, throw them under the bus (ahem, Mia Khalifa).

This is in part due to her growing base of female fans. She has a relatable, stylish (she’s single handedly made this Mondo Mondo necklace the cool girl necklace), funny way of interacting with the world via self-deprecating humor, and candid sharing about intimate yet silly things. Her vibe captures a spirit that is close to my heart, a mix of GIRLS ARE HOT and GIRLS ARE GROSS (example: a recent tiktok about ‘things girls do’ mentioned wearing a bra for years+ without washing it). It’s the kind of girl culture that is rarely appreciated, celebrated or even discussed. Plus, she’s really good at makeup (she actually went to cosmetology school)

The thing with Ari is—What’s not to love? Even as I was writing this, multiple girlfriends said “OMG ARI?? She’s my fave!” She’s the girl’s girl of bops.

We start with a question I’ve been sitting on since the very beginning of Love Buzz—waiting for just the right person to ask—Is is possible to be too hot to fuck? Or, put differently, Is being too hot a boner killer?
